Marriott to Operate Mészáros Group Luxury Hotel in Croatia

Riva's Hotels & Resorts, a Mészáros Group-owned company, has signed an agreement with Marriott International for Croatia's first hotel under the Marriott Hotels brand, according to Turizmus.com.
The 185-room luxury hotel, currently under construction, is expected to open in 2024 on the Opatija Riviera.
Marriott Hotels is a prominent member of Marriott Bonvoy's portfolio of 30 hotel brands.
Serving leisure and business travelers, the Marriott Opatija is located in the Opatija Riviera's Icici settlement on Liburnijska Road, the main road connecting the area's most important destinations.
Located 45 minutes from Rijeka Airport, it will be easily accessible for both European and overseas travelers.
Mészáros Group is Hungary's hotel market leader outside of Budapest, and it has commercial accommodations in Austria and Montenegro, as well as Croatia. With the acquisition of Miramar and the construction of Riva's Hotels & Resorts, the group is plowing around EUR 100 million into Croatian hotels.
